Developed in under 48 hours as part of Global Game Jam 2016, Antecendent is a puzzle-based murder mystery game set in a surreal, abstract interpretation of the protagonist detective's mind. Players must piece together clues to discover glyph patterns concealed within the environment, which they can then in turn input into the companion app, Lockbox, to uncover important information pertaining to the case.

Antecedent attempts to fuse the artful nature and brain-teasing puzzles of games such as The Witness and Year Walk with the dark, yet quirky storytelling of Deadly Premonition and Twin Peaks.

Within a team of four, I contributed heavily to the game's writing and puzzle design. I was also entirely responsible for the development of Lockbox, an Android companion app essential for progressing through the game and uncovering its narrative. Additionally, I was also responsible for all 2D art assets found within the game and companion app.
