The Papered House strives to reinvigorate the survival horror, both by looking back at what has worked for the genre over the years, and looking forward with what I genuinely believe to be groundbreaking innovations.
While visually the game is inspired by what I believe to be the golden era of the genre - the original PlayStation - my approach to gameplay is more fluid and modern. Played from a first-person perspective, players explore the titular house freely, solving all manner of devious puzzles to progress towards their goal of escaping.
The game is in active development and aims to be released on Steam by the end of 2017.
